Time!

I got in.  Barely, by the skin of my teeth.  I submitted my story for the Return to Luna contest with about two minutes to spare.  Whew!  Now comes the hard waiting part.  If it doesn't make it,  there will be sadness.  If it does, the prequel will be in one book, the rest of the story in another book, both published by Hadley Rille.  It would seem fitting, but I have to leave it in the hands of fate now.

I love my sisters.  I'm sure I've said this before.  Usually through gritted teeth, when they were emailing pictures of them on some tropical beach while I'm up to my ass literally in snow during the winter.  When one sister sent those pictures, I called her a bee-yatch.  She laughed.  She got it.

This week, my other sister and her family went to Michigan.  While they were there, they "just happened" to find out Kenny Wayne Shepherd was playing.  She texted me wth this info, and how great the concert was.  So I called her a bee-yatch.

She didn't get it.  She apparently also didn't understand LOL, ROFL, OMG, etc.

She had to have her son explain to her that she had just been called a bitch.

LOL!

This week has brought the strangest hormone swing ever!  Instead of just being grumpy, I've been basically challenging people to 'writing duels'.  Last week I challenged the ladies in my writing group to finish their WIPs and get them submitted.  This week, I challenged one of the ladies in the same writing group-with her own words.  She made a New Year's resolution to have five submissions this year.

I emailed her with "Well, it's June.  What have you got?  I've got two already, what are you doing?" kind of message.  Two is small beans compared to many writers out there, but two this year is one more than I had last year, so I think I'm getting better.  She's such a good writer, too.  I really hope she gets motivated.  But if I tell her I want to be her fan instead of her friend, that will really freak her out!  :)

May everyone have a good night.
