I learned today that Majel Roddenberry passed away at the age of 76 today.  I'm surprised her death hasn't gotten more air/news time.  My husband found it on Slashdot and let me know.  I don't do the Slashdot thing, so I just Googled 'Star Trek', and up popped the article.  Many should know her for her contributions to the Star Trek universe, as Nurse Chapel in the original series, as well as Deanna Troi's mother in TNG, and the voice of the computer in the various Star Trek spinoffs.

She and her husband created an incredible science fiction legacy.  Raise a glass of Andorian ale or whatever soothes you.  She will be missed.
